As a rule, our website can be used without providing any personal data. Where personal data (such as your name, address or email addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

Please note that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. communication by email) may be subject to security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies of its own and embeds no analytics or tracking services. Our newsletter sign-up form is not loaded automatically either – only when you explicitly ask for it. See the “Newsletter” section below.

On the home page and in the news section we offer a sign-up form provided by beehiiv Inc., New York, USA. The form is not loaded when the page opens – at first you see only a notice and a button, and no data is transmitted to beehiiv. Only when you click “Anmeldeformular laden” is the form loaded as an iframe from beehiiv's servers. At that point your IP address and the address of the page you requested are transmitted to beehiiv; in this context beehiiv may set cookies of its own or use comparable techniques. The legal basis for loading it is the consent you give with that click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

If you sign up, we process your email address and any other details you enter in the form in order to send you our newsletter. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw it at any time – via the unsubscribe link at the end of every newsletter, or simply by emailing us. We store your data for this purpose until you withdraw your consent.

The newsletter is sent and managed via beehiiv. This involves transferring data to the USA, on the basis of a data processing agreement and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. For details of how beehiiv processes data, see beehiiv.com/privacy.

Server log files

When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically processes technical access data (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, browser type) in so-called server log files. This data is used to ensure trouble-free operation and to improve security, and is automatically deleted after a short period. It is not combined with other data sources.

Contact

If you contact us via the contact form, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp, we process the details you provide (name, contact details, content of your message) solely to handle and respond to your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for this purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

If you contact us via WhatsApp, the privacy information of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. also applies.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain information about the personal data stored about you, as well as the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Simply contact us at the address given above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Objection to advertising emails

We hereby expressly object to the use of the contact details published as part of our legal notice obligations for sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The site operators expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising being sent, for example via spam emails.
